MANILA, Philippines — Work in government offices will be suspended at noon tomorrow to allow state workers to travel to the provinces during Holy Week, Malacañang announced. A flexible or work from home arrangement will also be adopted. The announcement was made through Memorandum Circular No. 81 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin yesterday. Under the circular, government personnel will work from home from 8 a.m. to noon. Work in government offices will then be suspended from noon onwards.

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang condemned yesterday the recent cases of violence and bullying in schools that cost the lives of students, assuring the public that the government is working to address the problem. Speaking to Palace reporters, Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the government is acting swiftly on bullying and violence in schools. “We condemn any form of bullying and harassment against students, our youth,” Castro said.

MANILA, Philippines — The Marcos administration has released the implementing guidelines of the executive order that created an inter-agency committee on International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Executive Order 77, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos on Nov. 22, 2024, formed the Inter-Agency Committee on IHL to comply with the Philippines’ global commitments on human rights.
