Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, this steampunk action-adventure is pure energy. From the opening credits, its beautiful animation and soundtrack will grab your attention. The series appeals to both audiences that have never played “League of Legends” and long-time fans of the video game franchise.

Guard Alivia Gillispie led the Olympians, scoring 19 points with 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists in a blowout win against Saddleback on Nov 14. The win puts the team on a three game winning streak, and showing no signs of slowing down. Mesa started off strong in the first quarter dominating on the glass and grabbing 10 rebounds. Mesa’s defense was relentless, forcing tough shots and making the opposing team lose a lot of time from the shot clock.

“Venom 3: The Last Dance” hit theaters on October 24, marking Sony’s final franchise installment. Directed by Kelly Marcel, the movie showcases the dynamic between protagonist Eddie Brock, played by actor Tom Hardy, and his symbiotic friend Venom. The movie is filled with humor as the duo’s relationship has grown from the first two movies. The visual effects were also good with the action sequences. The story, however, left much to be desired as far as the main villain is concerned.

Olympians win homecoming game 40-14

The San Diego Mesa Olympians continued their undefeated streak on Sept 28, a highly anticipated homecoming night with a 40-14 win over Grossmont College, improving their record to 4-0. With a very dominating defensive showing by only allowing 57 total yards and creating three turnovers, the Olympians asserted their dominance at Merrill Douglas Stadium. The offense made big plays when it mattered to keep Grossmont trailing by racking up 490 total yards.

The Mesa College Women’s Volleyball team stay undefeated. Before the match began, the unveiling of the Women’s Volleyball State Championship banner served as a preview of what the visiting team; The College of the Canyons, would be up against. The Olympians continued their domination by beating the Canyons 3-0 on Sept. 6; remaining undefeated with a record of 6-0. The Olympians came out the gate strong in the first set, beating the Canyons, 25-11.
