A big storyline from the game came in the eighth inning. Oklahoma State had a 2-0 lead, and AJ Gracia hit a home run for Duke to get the Blue Devils on the scoreboard. Upon running into the dugout, Gracia put on a construction helmet that Duke uses as a “home run prop” in their celebrations.

He will no longer be coaching the Blue Jays after 22 years in Omaha. Servais began his head coaching stint in 1988 at Viterbo University at the junior college level. He then left to coach another junior college, St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, for seven years from 1989-95. Between Viterbo and St. Mary’s, Servais won 182 games.
