Taking over the pitching coach position on Tom Walter’s staff will be former Houston Astros pitching coordinator Eric Niesen. After a playing career as a pitcher at Wake Forest, Niesen was a third-round draft selection by the New York Mets in 2007.

Hallmark will have a base salary of $350,000, which will increase by $25,000 annually. In the last year of his deal during the 2029 college baseball season, he will make $425,000. The head coach said he was grateful to stick around in San Antonio in a press release from the Roadrunners.
