On June 26, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Transforming Maternal Health (TMaH) Model. TMaH is ten-year delivery and payment model designed to test whether effective implementation of evidence‑informed interventions, sustained by a value-based payment (VBP) model, can improve maternal outcomes and reduce Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) expenditures.

Late last year, I set a goal to build up my savings to 5-figures. Early this year, I reached that goal and it came quicker and easier than I thought. The reason was I had a solid system in place and I had zero intentions of deterring from it or wasting time. The simple system made me hyper-aware of my spending. I knew exactly how much my expenses were and how much I had to save from each paycheck. My goal by January 2023 was to have $$,$$$ in my bank account.
