The capital of Denmark topped the list of the happiest cities for 2025 revealed by Happy City Index. Out of every city in the world, Copenhagen tops the ranks in the ‘gold’ category. The Happy City Index awarded the Danish capital with 1039 points.

The lido has been closed since 2000 but had previously been Banksy's Dismaland theme park - and is set to become a new performance venue. Plans to transform Weston-super-Mare's Tropicana into a 5,000-seater venue could be approved next week.

ONE couple was denied boarding their dream cruise because of an EU passport rule that is still catching thousands of Brits out. Grandparents Jenny Gee, 69, and Trevor Bamford, 77, booked to sail to New York in the autumn but were turned away at the last minute. The cruise was on Trevor's bucket list, and they were due to set sail on April 27 - which marked two weeks after Trevor finished treatment for prostate cancer. The parents-of-four paid £3,600 for a deck-12 top cabin cruise ship.
