It was a beautiful early-morning walk, yet so sad, too. Stephanie Dalke and May Kipnis, dressed in warm layers, met before dawn Saturday outside Union Station for a five-mile trek around the modern reflective-glass buildings of downtown D.C. A day or two later, he got a fever and felt sluggish. It could have been a mosquito bite, Taylor thought. His pediatrician thought it was from a spider.
