Between November 2023 and March 2024, Nedbank and GIBS ran the Happiness Survey in an attempt to measure and understand how “happy” South Africans were during this time period. The results of the largest survey of its kind, with 10 467 participants, were a testament to the resilience of South Africans , and resoundingly supported the notion that it is the time spent with people we love and doing things we find valuable that really drives happiness and well-being.

Our Belfast office is sponsoring a youth camp planning to give 50 disadvantaged young people in Northern Ireland a summer to remember. Camp Aspire (22-26 July) is now in its seventh year and run by Aspire NI, a charity based in Portadown Northern Ireland which delivers an educational based programme direct to schools as well as skills-based academies for young people from low-income families across Craigavon, Portadown, Lurgan, Banbridge and Belfast.

Our Belfast office has helped to raise more than £2,600 at its annual Business Quiz in aid of two of its nominated charities for 2024 – Dementia NI and the East Belfast Mission. Now in its second year, the event at Ten Square Hotel in Belfast saw around 100 colleagues, clients, friends and charity partners split across 18 teams test their knowledge across a range of topics including music, film, culture, general knowledge and a picture round.
