    Don Cowie’s brother has paid the price for the club’s relegation to the Championship after last week’s play-off defeat to Livingston. Paul Cowie has been sacked by the Dingwall side as they look to bring in the experience of John Robertson in a bid to get the club back into the top flight at the first time of asking. Carl Tremarco is also leaving the club. Cowie landed the Ross County job on a permanent basis after taking over from Milky Mackay and keeping them in the Premiership last term.

    Rangers have confirmed that a new majority ownership deal has been approved by the SFA. The Ibrox club have released a statement which reads:RANGERS Football Club is pleased to announce that a consortium of investors, led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, has purchased a majority stake in the club, with approval from the Scottish FA. The consortium will chart a new strategic vision for the club’s future prioritising on-pitch performance and long-term financial sustainability.
