Not just house prices. Many in their 60s and beyond had jobs for life if they wanted and relatively generous pension schemes. 20 somethings face insecurity at every step and may have to retrain/change career direction repeatedly. And lousy pensions at the end of it.

Radio 4 just did an excellent report on the wealth inequality between the Boomer generation (mine) & the twenty somethings (2 of my kids.) These really are staggering. This is a key point & it explains so much about what is going wrong in the UK. 40 years ago, when I bought my
