Rotary Club of Amite was founded April 9, 1928, and recently celebrated 95 years. The Amite club currently has 26 members, active and honorary, and the club is made up of local small business owners, who meet every Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at Mike’s Catfish in Amite. Meetings feature weekly guest speakers and begin with opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, the four-way test and welcome of guests and also feature discussion of old and new business.
