Several areas in Kisumu and Kakamega counties will experience scheduled power interruptions on Friday, Kenya Power has announced. The utility firm issues public notices hours prior to performing routine system maintenance to enable customers make necessary arrangements to mitigate inconveniences. The affected areas in the two counties we will be without power from 9 am to 5pm.

Police in Nairobi have arrested two men with 40 kilogrammes of bhang in an operation within Karen area. Also recovered from the suspects were 203 rolls of bhang, 100 packets of razzlers, Sh1,400 in cash and one rolling flag. Police impounded a motorcycle they believe the suspects have been using to carry out the illegal business. A police report said the two suspects were booked at Industrial Area Police Station awaiting arraignment in court.

Kenya Revenue Authority headquarters at Times Towers Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a scheduled maintenance for the Supplier Relationship Management Module on Friday and Saturday. KRA said the maintenance will last for 24 hours, starting at 9pm on Friday and ending at 9pm on Saturday. In a statement, the taxman said the affected systems will include Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Portal and Supplier Registration Portal.
