Which social media is hot changes all the time. What is important is that as writers, we have multiple platforms. People who want specific information about you and your writing need to be able to find you, and they want to find you on their socials.

When submitting through a platform such as Query Tracker, there is a box asking for a synopsis of a word count that equaled my one-page.

Have you ever had an editor change your work to the point that it didn’t feel like yours, anymore? It makes me so frustrated. Time for some tough love! If you want to work professionally as a writer, to be paid for your work, part of that success is accepting an editor’s final say in the matter. I’m not saying it’s easy to do, this acceptance bit. I’m saying: it’s necessary.

Hats off to them for making themselves so vulnerable. I was so in that pain. The first time was during my senior year in high school. A friend mentioned that since I’d lost weight, I looked really pretty. I choked up, unable to say aloud a thought that had previous never occurred to me: why doesn’t anyone ask me out? I stayed in that pattern for years and years. Because you write “who is emotionally unavailable and I can’t let him go,” I’m going to ask you to explore recovery from love addiction.
