If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it one thousand times: Pride month is not the only time to read books about and by LGBTQ+ people. Like many marginalized communities who are offered one month a year, the standard backlash typically goes something like, “Why don’t straight people get a month?” Reader: Straight people get the other 11 months. There’s no wrong way to celebrate Pride month. There’s also no reason you shouldn’t be proud all year long.
