    More and more people are turning to apps and “swiping right” to find their match. So, why not turn to an app to find a match for carpooling? Carpooling is where people who have similar commutes or destinations share a ride in a single vehicle. By sharing a ride, you can save on fuel and parking costs, reduce your carbon footprint, and gain access to the high-occupancy vehicle lane like on Highway 1. But finding a match is hard.

    Swifties riding the Rogers West Coast Express Midnight Train were treated to a pre-show aboard. They belted their hearts out in an impromptu singalong as the train travelled from Moody Centre Station to Waterfront Station. With a guitar pick in hand and an aptly named Taylor guitar, our resident Swiftie led everyone in a singalong for the eras. Taking requests, they sang the 1, Our Song, Jump Then Fall, and All Too Well. It was a moment that can only be described as the ultimate Swiftie moment.

    The saying goes you live as long as the last person who remembers you. For Shonta Campbell (Kishiqweb), her grandparents live on as stories in her art. Both were residential school survivors and Shonta’s grandfather’s powerful story of escape left a lasting impression on her. That’s why Shonta chose to tell that story as part of her latest digital art piece, which is on display wrapping two SkyTrain cars on the Expo Line.

    The entrance to Oakridge–41st Avenue Station is set for a facelift and the station’s also getting new escalators!More than 7,000 customers currently use Oakridge–41st Avenue Station daily. That number is expected to grow in the coming years as density in the area increases with Oakridge Park‘s completion. That’s why we need to upgrade Oakridge–41st Avenue Station. Construction is underway and expected to last about a year.

    Rose Tashoots has always had a penchant for art. As a young child, she drew Sylvester and Tweety from the Looney Tunes cartoon, selling the art on the school playground for five cents. “Believe it or not, they used to buy it from me,” recalls Rose, laughing. But only recently did she “really get into art” after seeing the work of Dempsey Bob, a Northwest woodcarver and sculptor.
