The 73rd Missouri State High School Activities Association state music festival runs through Saturday, bringing musicians from more than 400 high schools across Missouri to compete in MU's facilities.

    By Allison Bealmer,Anna Colletto The University of Missouri is conducting a "shuttle pilot" next Monday to Friday in which students, faculty and staff are invited to test out a new shuttle schedule and routes that will be put into place Aug. 1. The pilot is a part of MU's rollout for a new demand-based parking plan, which divides its parking lots and structures into pricing tiers. Monthly rates range from $10 to $105. It will also expand MU's shuttle services.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., over 35 vendors negotiated prices with customers, showcased their collections and talked vintage items. The festival was a first-time partnership with the Illinois and Wisconsin Vintage Fests.

    By Allison Bealmer,Anna Sago Through a grant from the Veterans United Foundation (VUF), Cars 4 Columbia, a member of the Cars 4 Missouri Network, plans to donate a vehicle every month this year to a veteran selected by the Truman Veterans' Hospital, Welcome Home and the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture. This month's recipient, Gregg Shand, beamed as he hugged Anthony Conway, the program director of Cars 4 Columbia, before driving off in what is now his own vehicle on Thursday.
