Deaf President Now! tells the true story of one of the most important civil rights movements in history, that many of us have never been taught. In 1988, protests erupted for 8 days straight at the world’s only Deaf university, as they elected a new president. Four students worked together to lead a revolution and change the course of history. The documentary, which premieres on Apple TV+ on May 16, was co-directed by Davis Guggenheim and Nyle DiMarco, an out, Deaf model, actor, and writer.
