It will for sure feel like we should over the next week. But will the timing line up as a system crosses the Gulf coast Friday. It has been 7 years since our last snow when we had our 2nd snowiest January in Savannah on record.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — I know no one is complaining about a slower hurricane season. But after active season after active season, it does make you wonder: where are all the storms? The 2023 season was tied (with 1933) for the fourth most active season on record, following right on the heels of the 2021 and 2020 seasons. According to climatology, our seventh storm should have formed by Sept. 3 and the eighth by Sept. 9. Both dates are before the peak of the season, Sept. 10.
