COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Seven-time gold-medal sprinter Allyson Felix, four-time Olympic tennis champion Serena Williams and Mike Krzyzewski, who coached the U.S. to two basketball gold medals, are part of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee Hall of Fame's class of 2025. Gymnastics champion Gabby Douglas, skiing's Bode Miller, beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings and Nike founder Phil Knight are also in the group that will be inducted at a ceremony in Colorado Springs on July 12.

GENEVA -- Skiing's governing body signed the oil- and gas-rich state of Azerbaijan on Tuesday as its first global sponsor of world championships which face challenges from changing climate. The International Ski and Snowboard Federation said the five-year deal with Azerbaijan's tourism agency through the 2030 season also includes the World Cup in some disciplines, including aerials, ski cross and snowboard cross.

The top lawyer for the U.S. Center for SafeSport wrote to Sen. Chuck Grassley that "there should have been additional scrutiny" when the center learned a vice cop it was considering hiring as an investigator had been subject to an internal investigation at his last job. The center ended up hiring Jason Krasley, who was later charged with rape and other felonies from episodes that happened when he worked as an officer in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Two-time Olympic triathlon medalist Hayden Wilde is recovering in a Japanese hospital with broken bones and injured lungs after a bike crash, the New Zealander said on social media. The 27-year-old, who took the men's triathlon silver at the Paris Games and bronze in Tokyo, shared a photo from his hospital bed on Instagram and listed his injuries. "Broken 4 ribs. Scapular broken. Injured lungs. Surrounded with the best help. Keep you posted," the Taupo native wrote.
