Lincoln High School senior Cassidy Dickey and a group of friends hit the field of Mediacom Stadium on a spring-like day in early March to start getting a few flag football reps in preparation for the upcoming season. "Oh, it's everything," Dickey said. "I love every second of it."Girls in central Iowa now have an outlet for the game they've been playing in their backyards. "I've learned how to throw football since I was young, so finally being able to play with it is so much fun," Dickey said.

"When I get up, that's probably the worst part of the day," Luke McLaughlin said. At just 45 years old, McLaughlin was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
