For months, Karen Luff volunteered to help students cross safely to Longview Elementary in Spring Hill. Now, Luff is an officially certified crossing guard. “I can stop the traffic. I wasn't able to do that before. So, just organizing them so that the crosswalk is more visible. Because cars piling up and then parking on top of the crosswalk when kids are trying to get to school was just a disaster,” says Luff. That crosswalk was the scene of a tragedy in December.

On May 22, the iconic Italian sandwich shop All’Antico Vinaio will open two new locations in the heart of Music City. The expansion includes a shop in Midtown and a shop in The Gulch. These openings mark a major milestone: All’Antico Vinaio’s debut in the Southeastern U.S., and the brand’s 9th and 10th locations nationwide following debuts in New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

(WZTV) — Metro’s Director of Law, Wally Dietz, continues to say this coordinated effort between the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) caught everyone at Metro by surprise. Metro police say they played no role, and Metro leaders say they’ve seen no evidence that Nashville officers participated.
