Located on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge with breathtaking views of the surrounding gorge landscape, Skamania Lodge reopened its luxury glamping (upscale camping) accommodations on April 1, available through this October. The five canvas tents feature either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds with private outdoor fire pits and separate bathing tents with soaking tubs, placing guests in the heart of nature.

Situated along the Colorado River in Lost Pines just southeast of Austin, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa opened its newest event venue—the Riverbend Barn—in early April. The 6,076-square-foot barn features an A-frame structure and blends a rustic and modern design with vaulted ceilings, tall windows, and indoor/outdoor access. The venue’s catering menu highlights open-fire cooking.

Located along Oregon’s Deschutes River in Bend, the Riverhouse Lodge promoted Travis Taylor from executive chef to director of food and beverage in late March. With 30 years of experience in the culinary industry, Taylor has now been with the property for three years, first joining in 2022 as executive chef. Prior to Riverhouse Lodge, Taylor was a chef at Rainshadow Organics, an Oregon family farm located just north of Bend between Sisters and Terrebonne.
