(WMTV) - Showers and thunderstorms moved in overnight, and will gradually make their way out of the region this morning. However, we won’t get too long of a break from the rain as we’ll watch for a second system to move in later on Sunday. The weekend won’t be a washout, and at least temperatures will be relatively seasonable.

(WMTV) - After a wet end to the workweek, the weekend is looking much drier and sunnier. Many locations picked up between a quarter and a half inch of rain on Friday, with lower totals north and west of the Dells. Madison’s official total from the airport was 0.56″ by late Friday night. That brings our monthly total to over an inch.

(WMTV) - We’ve traded the snowy weather for bitterly cold weather, and it’ll be sticking around with us through most of this week. Your First Alert weather team has declared Alert Days for Sunday through Wednesday due to the dangerously cold conditions. The National Weather Service has also issued a wind chill advisory through noon on Monday.
