The Pleasant Valley football team won its fifth straight league game, when the Vikings defeated Shasta 38-0 in both teams' regular-season finale. PV led 21-0 after the first quarter, 35-0 at halftime, and Vikings kicker Gehrig Spina kicked a 36-yard field goal halfway through the fourth quarter. No stats were reported by PV. PV (7-3, 5-0 Eastern Athletic League), the EAL champion, now awaits Northern Section playoffs.
