Home values statewide will continue to decrease into the summer, according to the latest housing forecast by Zillow. A Zillow analysis of 547 ZIP codes in New Jersey with enough available data shows 379 towns where home values are expected to decrease by August. The forecast includes two New Jersey towns with declines of over 1.5%. Lambertville in Hunterdon County and Pedricktown in Salem County saw the largest declines at 2% and 1.9%, respectively.

Over half of New Jersey’s 21 counties saw home values at over $500K in April, the latest figures from Zillow showed. Cape May, Bergen and Monmouth counties topped the list with home values over $700K. Home values also continued to grow statewide, with one county seeing a large jump. Middlesex County saw home values increase by 8% compared to the same time last year. According to a recent Redfin report, home prices may soon decrease.

Home values increased across New Jersey in April compared to the year prior. Of the 547 ZIP codes Zillow analyzed, 539 saw home values increase. Eight ZIP codes - two in Port Norris, Shiloh, Greenwich and four in Newark - saw home values decrease. A ZIP code in Trenton, 08611, saw the largest increase in home values at over 13%. According to a recent Redfin report, nationwide housing stock hit a five-year high.

Thousands of homes hit New Jersey’s housing market last month, according to the latest figures from Realtor.com. A total of 9,844 homes were listed statewide in April, making for a nearly 5% increase compared to the same time last year. Most of the nation saw the percentage of newly listed homes increase. Vermont and Massachusetts saw the largest increase in newly listed homes at over 25% and 21%, respectively.
