    Over 300,000 Muslims across New Jersey will begin celebrating Eid al-Adha on Friday. For several days, Muslims will pray, donate to charity and some will have an animal slaughtered– usually a sheep, goat, cow or camel – for the holiday.     New Jersey home values continued to grow compared to last year, according to the latest figures from Zillow. Home values shot up by over 5% in April compared to the same time last year, making for the third-highest increase in the nation behind Kentucky and Rhode Island. New Jersey’s typical home value of $548,338 ranked sixth-highest in the nation in April. Hawaii, California, and Massachusetts had the highest home values. West Virginia, Mississippi, and Louisiana had the lowest.

    Over half of the state saw the number of newly listed homes increase in April compared to the same time last year, according to data from Realtor.com. A total of 13 counties saw more homes hit the market last month. Sussex County saw the largest increase in newly listed homes, with 272, representing a jump of over 27%. Camden and Essex counties followed with increases of 20.46% and 15.10%, respectively. Atlantic County, which had 376 newly listed homes in April, saw the largest dip at 8.74%.
