Following the opening reception of her exhibit, Ghada Khunji held an engaging studio portrait session at Temple University’s Charles Library. Ghada invited the students of Temple to visit the library and have their portraits taken. The artist uses a photography medium in most of her works to showcase the human condition and individual identities. As shown on her social media platforms, the Arab artist attempts to highlight her Arab heritage. The Akkas portrait sessions held today were very intimate.

Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture had its opening reception for its new monthly exhibit. The Arab community center hosted the reception, featuring the work of Ghada Khunji, an artist from Manama, Bahrain. Khada is a visual artist who creates still-life models featuring individuals wearing traditional Middle Eastern clothing and sculptures that honor classic Arab wardrobes. Ghada also specializes in photography and likes to focus on highlighting various aspects of identity as a woman.

The second day of the psychOdelphia weekend is full of various events and meeting opportunities between fans and cast members. Friday featured only Sage Brocklebank, who hosted the day wonderfully, yet the complete cast has arrived for the rest of the weekend. Just like Friday, the convention has brought in the infamous Blueberry, the car driven throughout the series by Gus and ‘Shawn, ’ played by Dulé Hill and James Roday Rodriguez, respectively.

Following the town hall meeting with Councilman Jeffery Young, Jr. to discuss the future of the Cecil B. Moore Library, the library was opened temporarily to explore the options of renovating the building. The week after, the library hosted a community meeting to debrief the events of the previous town hall meeting and converse about the various approaches possible to keep the library open. The main concern voiced by the attendees of the meeting was the feeling of not being heard.
