    St. Louis transplants Nic and Willie Cherry had already been admiring the work of local architect Sarah Gibson, design principal at UIC, before relocating here from Minnesota for Nic’s job. They discovered Gibson’s unique, modern homes while perusing local real estate listings. After they moved in January 2020 and were settled into a rental home, they started talking to Gibson about building a home for them somewhere not far from Nic’s office in the Central West End.
