Lyndsey and Tony Simpson’s toy company was having a growth spurt this year until Sept. 27, the day Hurricane Helene came barreling down on western North Carolina, causing widespread power outages while flooding washed away some roads in the area and downed trees blocked roads and damaged rooftops and cars. The family lost power at their Hendersonville home for nearly two weeks, were unable to leave home for two days due to felled trees and Tony's Jeep was totaled.

Young adults have a shot at deciding this election — if they vote. In 2022, it was voters ages 18 to 29 who put Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., over the top. Doing so allowed Democrats to hold the majority in the Senate. This year, young Nevada voters will have a chance to influence the outcome of the presidential race and a Senate race, according to a research group at Tufts University. Incumbent Sen. Jacky Rosen, a Democrat, is running against Republican Sam Brown.

Why does @RepMTG have a right to free speech even when POTUS is addressing Congress, but @IlhanMN doesn’t have a free speech right to her own opinions? I don’t have to agree with either, that’s not the point.
