Siggno, a regional Mexican band from Santa Rosa, Texas, specializes in a progressive brand of Tejano music that combines conjunto with roots rock, folk, blues, R&B and regional Tex-Mex sounds. Siggno’s early 2000s hit “Por Amor” received a BMI Music Award and notched the group’s first Latin Grammy Award nominations.

The grown-ups will be crime-solving at the Art Reach murder mystery fundraiser “A Dance With Death: A Sock Hop Gone Sour,” while kids are just down the hall enjoying their own night of fun mystery. Both events run from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Mid Michigan College, 2600 S. Summerton Road, Mt. Pleasant. The adults’ evening event will include a murder mystery dinner.

The Grammy-nominated duo Black Violin, known for their innovative fusion of classical and hip-hop, will take the Wharton Center state at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.
