    The 17th annual Telluride Yoga Festival (TYF) returns Thursday, June 26 through Sunday, June 29, for four days of immersive inspiration, movement, wellness and connection. In its third week of operation, TFM runs every Friday through Oct. 10 on South Oak Street from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Having launched its 15th season this past Wednesday, Market on the Plaza (MOTP) in the Mountain Village (MV) happens Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Heritage Plaza through Sept. 10.

    Coming off a flat winter season, regional tourism officials are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming summer season as Montrose (MTJ) and Telluride (TEX) regional airports prepare to accommodate passengers. While during winter months MTJ offers 14 nonstop flights from 12 major hubs, MTJ offers just eight nonstop flights this summer from six major hubs. “The goal for nearly all winter routes is to develop them into summer service as well,” said CEO of Colorado Flight Alliance Matt Skinner.

    As a small, grassroots development program, it’s remarkable that Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club (TSSC) saw 10 freestyle athletes compete at Junior Nationals — the most ever — with four of those qualifying for US Nationals. Three alpine athletes competed at Junior (U-18) Nationals — also the most ever — while three big mountain athletes competed at the Junior Freeride Championships. “This is our best competitive season to date,” said TSSC Executive Director Justin Chandler.
