AbstractThe extraction and separation of trivalent transuranic actinide ions are crucial areas of research in nuclear energy development. Various organic ligands have been designed and studied for this purpose. In this study, we investigated the bonding properties of the 3,3′-sulfonyldithiophene ligand based on a tetrahedral bonding S center with trivalent transuranic actinide elements, including Np, Pu, Am, Cm, and Bk, as well as their separation efficiency for these actinide (III) ions.
