WHAT IS THE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE ON THE TOPIC? Frameworks that combine mechanistic and machine learning tools (scientific ML [SciML] approaches) have shown promising results in pharmacokinetic (PK) modeling. Methods that allow to capture and parametrize known and unknown mechanisms have not been explored widely. WHAT QUESTION DID THIS STUDY ADDRESS?
