As I watched Mother's Day approaching and seeing people in the stores buying gifts for their mothers, it magnified the empty spots left in my heart. For much of my life I was blessed to have the love of two mothers, my own, and David's Mother. From the time we were married my mother-in-law considered me, and treated me, as if I was her daughter. Since I was only 15 when we married, I suppose she felt as if she "adopted" me. I think it goes without saying that I loved her very much too.

Four candidates for Eastern District Commissioner will be on the ballot for the Aug. 6 Primary Election. Current Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst is not seeking reelection for the position. The four candidates are:Curt Warfield Jr.Warfield works as a manager for Big Iron Auctions and lives in between Fulton and Kingdom City. He has lived in Callaway County his entire life.
