    FANS OF director Yorgos Lanthimos received a gift in June, in the form of his new film Kinds of Kindness. It strays from his two most recent features, Oscar winners Poor Things and The Favourite, in that it’s not a period piece — the look and feel are both very contemporary — nor is it just one film. Yes, Kinds of Kindness is another dark comedy, but it’s also an anthology: a triptych fable with a rotating cast of actors who take on different roles in each of the three vignettes.
