    A man died after he was hit by an ambulance in Ashburn, Virginia, on Friday night, authorities say. Michael James Singer, of Ashburn, was the victim, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. He was 39. Singer was struck by a Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System ambulance in the eastbound lanes of Route 7 just west of Loudoun County Parkway, the sheriff's office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. News4 video shows a large response after the tragedy.

    Virginia teenagers said they were filming a ding-dong ditch prank for a TikTok video when a homeowner opened fire, killing an 18-year-old boy. The homeowner, Tyler Chase Butler, was arrested on charges of second-degree murder, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the death of Michael Bosworth, Jr. It's not clear if Butler has obtained an attorney. The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

    A homeowner was arrested on a murder charge after authorities say he shot and killed an 18-year-old in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The teen's friends told investigators the man opened fire as they recorded a prank overnight for a TikTok video. Tyler Chase Butler, 27, was arrested and accused of second-degree murder, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, the county sheriff's office said Tuesday.

Charles Sayles, 77, was last seen in the 3400 block of Washington Boulevard, Arlington County police said Wednesday morning. The location is a few blocks from the Virginia Square-GMU Metro station, near the Clarendon area. Police said Sayles is considered a critically missing person because of health or mental health concerns.
