Al primo sbarramento c’è un taliban che sorride, perché così gli hanno ordinato di fare. Al secondo, invece, c’è un cartello: “Punto di consegna armi”, bisogna posare il kalashnikov in un armadietto e prendere un numero per ritirarlo all’uscita. La strada si snoda su per la collina coperta di siepi ben curate. Al terzo sbarramento ci perquisiscono e poi, dietro a un portone di metallo, ecco finalmente il vialetto d’accesso all’albergo.
