    IntroductionStrokes are often the most feared complication for patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). They are associated with increased mortality and morbidity, impose significant challenges for family and caregivers, and weigh heavily on healthcare systems. Multiple trials have evaluated the safety and efficacy of cerebral embolic protection devices (CEPDs) and anticoagulation regimes to reduce the incidence of TAVR-related stroke.
