    It was another hot and humid day across the Carolinas with the showers and storms largely failing to materialize this afternoon. More heat and humidity is on the way for the start of the week as we truly start to lock into a summer pattern across the Carolinas with hot and humid weather essentially all week long. Along with the heat and humidity, we should all see a few days with some storms mixed in as well.

    It was a cooler and calmer day across the Carolinas behind the cold front that moved through Friday. While generally dry weather is expected this evening some showers are on the way for Sunday as reinforcing cooler air moves in. Early next week will be comfortable before warmer air moves in for the middle and latter half of the week. Also, after all the wet weather we saw this past week, the upcoming week looks much drier for the region.

The weekend looks drier, though some showers are possible on Saturday as well. After a cooler weekend, a warm-up is likely in store for the start of next week as highs return to the 80s.
