Gareth Ainsworth has made his first signing as Gillingham manager with the capture of Sebastian Palmer-Houlden from Bristol City. The 21-year-old striker arrives at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. Seb has been at Ashton Gate since he was eight years old but made his competitive debut while on loan at Yeovil in the National League in February 2023. The following season he spent on loan with Newport County, scoring nine times in 42 appearances.

Two branch managers from Wards Estate Agents are taking on a 24-hour darts challenge to raise funds for Kent-based children’s charity Tree of Hope. Paul Jordan, who lives in Herne Bay and is branch manager at Herne Bay and Graham Goodsell, who lives in Gillingham and is branch manager at Faversham, will be taking on the 24-hour challenge starting at 8pm on Friday.
