    What started as a pitcher’s duel quickly turned into a Tiger takeover Tuesday night as the Rush City Tigers pulled away from the Pine City Dragons with a dominant six-run fourth inning, cruising to a 13-2 victory. Rush City 13, Pine City 2Heading into the top of the fourth, the game was locked at 1-1. But the Tigers sparked a rally that Pine City just couldn’t contain. After back-to-back leadoff singles, a textbook sacrifice bunt moved the runners into scoring position.

The Dragons were led by Karly Dahlberg, who pitched all four innings to earn the win. Dahlberg was steady in the circle, striking out three and walking just two. The defense behind her was sharp, limiting baserunners and capitalizing on routine plays to record outs efficiently.

    Pine City junior forward, Milo Rydberg, has earned the prestigious honor of representing Team USA at the World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia. The tournament, which begins in early May, will see Rydberg competing alongside Team USA against formidable opponents from Canada, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Hungary, and Finland. Team USA has a proud history in this tournament, having won two medals in Winnipeg in 2009 and a gold medal in 2017 in Amherst, New York.
