DISCUSSIONFM symptom severity, defined by the FSQ score, weakly predicts RA disease activity levels after patients initiate or switch DMARD therapy. Upon separating the FSQ into its 2 components, the WPI and the SSS, the WPI predicted RA disease activity, but the SSS did not.
