Volvo has unveiled a refreshed version of its S90 large executive saloon, with the changes centring on styling and revisions to the interior. However while the car is regarded as Volvo’s flagship petrol-powered saloon, it won’t be available to UK buyers. Withdrawn from UK sale in 2023, it is now being aimed at other markets, especially China, and UK buyers wanting a large Volvo saloon will have to wait for the ES90 electric vehicle due on sale in 2026.

Subaru dealers will have a second electric vehicle to offer potential customers from mid-2026 following the unveiling of the Trailseeker at the 2025 New York International Auto Show. The newcomer (pictured above) is effectively an electric version of Subaru’s Outback estate and was revealed alongside an updated version of Subaru’s other EV the Solterra. It is yet to be confirmed as to whether the new model will be called Trailseeker in the UK.

According to AFP board director Richard Baird customers need the confidence that a used EV will be as much a secure and sensible purchase as buying a petrol or diesel equivalent.
