If RFC reach the quarters, they'll have played 100 European games since Steven Gerrard was appointed (seven seasons). Given the club's poor record in UEFA games for so many years previously, that's quite remarkable. The bulk have been in the Europa League and it's been terrific.

Easy to kick Rangers just now but that's a very decent result for Clement's side. Villa, Fenerbahce and West Ham have all lost there in the last year or so. Should arguably have won it too - great finish from Dessers, one well saved, another poor miss... but a good point overall.

Last season, James Tavernier’s goals masked other areas of his game where he wasn’t delivering. This year, going into November, he has scored one penalty against Dundee and that’s it. Huge contribution to the decisive goal tonight - at the wrong end of the park…

Only surprise is that Rangers didn’t lose by more. It’s a big problem for the club that such apathy has set in among supporters. Everyone saw tonight’s result coming too. Real lack of direction on and off the park and might even be doing well to finish third at this rate.

Good response from Rangers... but very Rangers of them to go from losing 1-0 at Killie to winning a big European tie 4-0. Cerny was like a man possessed, Lawrence did well until going off, liked Raskin and Barron's industry. Igamane shows more purpose than Dessers, took goal well
