AIL – Dublin University 12 Old Wesley 27 (Jan 18 ’25)By Andrew EganIt was a perfect day in College Park; one of the best places to play rugby in the country. There was a strong crowd of tourists and AIL regulars viewing on in anticipation of what was to be an exciting clash. The conditions were perfect on a warm winter’s afternoon, sun shining and clear skies. It was Wesley who were to the fore early with a dominant start.

Sarsfields and Portlaoise’s Minor teams collided in the final fixture of the Laois LGFA season. With the Minor ‘A’ cup at stake, there was a decent attendance in Annanough for this clash. In the end, though, Sarsfields proved far too slick and powerful for the Portlaoise outfit. Ciara O’Neill and Aoibhe Foyle were an awesome duo up top while the rest of the Sarsfields team won their individual battles as well.

If you're watching the History Channel tonight, I will be on The Toys That Built America airing at 9 PM EST/8 PM Central. They used a couple of articles I wrote on the inventor of the Erector Set as the basis and interviewed me on camera back in April.

A random comment got me rewatching Ever After for the first time in years and damn, what a great movie.

I'm seeing that carrying around your cat in a clear backpack is starting to become common. So, there is some good news after all.
