11/19/2024by Andrew FineDevotees ofCentral Park awoke to a shocking article in the NewYork Times today, on how the Parks Conservancy and Sam Schwartz plan to “reimagine” theroadway around the park to accommodate unwanted, high-speed e-bikes andscooters with token consideration of pedestrians, the elderly, children, peoplewith disabilities, and frankly, anyoneconcerned with safety and serenity in Central Park.

Hey, folks! It’s been a while, a long while since I last blogged. I’m still here, stillselling coops and condos (30 years worth), and I am more active in communityissues than ever. Big old road blocks on the Triboro Bridge this afternoon. Kudos to @NYPDPC @NYPDnews . This is the kind of traffic that I'm happy to sit in. Get rid of the damn paper, fake, and no plates cars!

Registration and plates for all e-bikes and e-scooters would go a long way to curtail egregious and dangerous riding on our streets and in our parks. It's not a big ask! Instead, the NYPD is forced to take extreme measures to satisfy the vast majority who are fed up w the chaos!
