    For over fifteen years, Roundhay Stroke Support Club in Leeds, has met every second and fourth Thursday of the month at Oakwood Church, Springwood Road in Leeds to support those who have had a Stroke or those who who care for a Stroke survivor. With around 35 members plus a healthy team of volunteers, each meeting provides time for a cuppa and a chat, an interesting talk and a varied programme of entertainment.

    The Grenfell Goannas will be hosting the Bathurst CSU Mungoes at Lawson Park this Saturday in League Tag (1.40pm) and First Grade (3.00pm). Youth League have a bye. There will also be a Masters match between the Grenfell Dinosaurs and the South Tuggeranong Knights and this annual fixture is known as the Willy Beale Challenge and will kick off at 1.00pm. All three grades were in action last Sunday in the first round of the Woodbridge Cup and following are the match reports.

    Described as two of the finest interpreters of Australian traditional folk music, Chloe and Jason Roweth are set to raise spirits and funds in the name of the 2024 Henry Lawson Festival at the Grenfell Showground Pavilion on Saturday, April 27. Support a worthy local cause and have a great night out enjoying ballads and yarns from 7pm. The Millthorpe locals have been in the industry for over three decades and have recorded 25 albums.

    The now defunct Mandurama Reds rugby league team was once so successful it was able to attract a potential Kangaroo and advertised for a coach at Sydney wages. Public historian Sam Guthrie who grew up near Mandurama and now lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland has been trying to seek funding for a oral history project telling the story of Mandurama through the lens of its former rugby league team.
