In his latest column, Graham Hendra reflects on what his recent stint as a lecturer has taught him about training. I’ve just completed a three-year stretch teaching refrigeration and aircon at Eastleigh College. I thoroughly enjoyed it – looking back, it has actually been one of the highlights of my career.

The government must commit to a fully funded national programme of building retrofits which has human health and wellbeing at its heart, according to BESA (the Building Engineering Services Association). The Association, which represents firms working across the residential and commercial building sectors, said improving standards in homes would help to drive economic growth in line with government targets, improve social outcomes and create jobs.
