The regional fallouts of the conflict engulfing Iran are yet to reveal themselves, but one catastrophic consequence is definitely not in doubt: Britain’s migration crisis will further deepen. Violence against medical personnel is completely unacceptable particularly from those in authority such as the police. The BMA views this as part of an alarming global trend where medical personnel are perceived as legitimate targets in times of conflict and civil unrest, in direction contravention of international law.
