George Harmon is no stranger to coming up trumps in big moments for Ross County. In his three years since moving north to Dingwall, he has been celebrated in moments like the winner away at Kilmarnock earlier this season, the second goal in the Staggies’ first ever victory over Rangers, and the legendary comeback against Partick Thistle in the play-off two years ago. The next week will provide plenty more of those occasions for County to have to deal with.

A newly-established rugby club in Drumnadrochit has already made history twice, just months after forming. Glen Urquhart RFC formed in October last year, originally starting out as a weekly High Life Highland session for primary school pupils on Tuesday nights before expanding into a second session at Glen Urquhart High School on Sunday mornings. On the bigger, Tuesday night practices, the club already sees up to 60 children attending and trying their hand at the sport.

In September 2022, the then-Gala Fairydean Rovers striker became the first Scottish male player to come out as gay. Since then, he has turned advocacy into his full-time job alongside playing, delivering talks to schools, football academies and community groups off the pitch while continuing to star on it.
