I'm swapping a turntable with no ground with my late dad's turntable with a ground wire. TT location is actually on the opposite side of the room that already has a long RCA cable routed through the floor and into my AV rack in the closet. Are there other "terminals" I could ground the TT to get rid of the hum? I've read grounding to active speakers (which I don't have) or to an outlet faceplate screw. I've tried the faceplate but still have a hum/buzz.

#1 · I'm upgrading my AVR to take advantage of Audyssey MultEQ XT32. I currently have a 5.1.2 setup with the .2 being top middle in-ceiling speakers. I know there will be benefit of adding an additional sub, which I plan to do, but I'm wondering any major benefit of adding an additional .2 atmos speakers when the only location I could add would be front height? Opinions?

This article is a collaboration between a British primary care physician (P.B.) and a US-based methodologist with an interest in decision analysis (A.V.). Both of us are strong advocates of shared decision making (SDM) but have independently concluded that many contemporary approaches to SDM, especially those involving decision aids, do not actually follow good SDM practice at all.
