The Kilkeel men’s first XI faced North Down in the Men’s Premier League looking to get back to winning ways. It was a tight affair in the first half with neither side having cutting edge chances but Kilkeel upped their game in the second half.

    The NFL and Thanksgiving have gone together like turkey and mashed potatoes since the league was founded more than a century ago. In the first pro football game played on the November holiday, Fritz Pollard — who became the first Black coach in the NFL — led to a 7-0 victory over Jim Thorpe and the Canton Bulldogs in 1920. The Chicago Bears have played 37 times on Thanksgiving. Twelve of those games were in consecutive years against their oldest rival — the Chicago Cardinals.

    Police are calling for assistance finding a man who stole alcohol from a Corio shop. “Investigators have been told an unknown male has attended the Corio Village Shopping Centre at approximately 1:00PM,” police said on social media. “The male has taken $380 worth of alcohol from the shelves and left the store without making any attempt to pay.
